Meet Vice President, Sandy Stychor
Sandy and her husband, Dave, adopted their first greyhound in 2001 and have had at least one (usually more) ever since. Participating in many greyhound transports from the racetrack and doing Meet and Greets, they have fostered 25 wonderful dogs, making them ready for their forever homes. She has been particularly effective as a fundraiser with several greyhound adoption groups.
Sandy is a certified dog trainer helping dogs stay in their happy homes. After learning that most dogs are relinquished to shelters due to problem behaviors at home, she began donating about 50% of her training time to local shelter dogs. She also teaches dog obedience and puppy training classes for her local community recreation commission.
As a retired research biochemist, with over 45 publications in peer reviewed medical journals, and a master’s degree in Public Health, she works hard to ensure our greyhound hauls are not only safe, but our ‘canine passengers’ are delivered happy and healthy!
